LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The previous Clark County College District worker accused of putting in a recording system in a classroom final month has pleaded not responsible.

44-year-old Haroon Zakai was arrested on March 20 at Gwendolyn Woolley Elementary College after a trainer discovered an audio recording system in her classroom. Zakai informed the trainer, then later police, that he planted the system to document pupil conversations for his synthetic intelligence enterprise.

In keeping with an arrest report obtained by FOX5, Zakai claimed his enterprise would assist “cease bullying.”

Zakai faces a number of fees on this case, together with a felony cost for monitoring non-public conversations.

He’s due again in court docket in June.
