The Justice Division’s Nationwide Institute of Justice is in search of public enter on using synthetic intelligence within the legal system.

In a doc posted for public inspection on the Federal Register Wednesday, the analysis, growth and analysis arm of the division stated it’s searching for suggestions to “inform a report that addresses using synthetic intelligence (AI) within the legal justice system.” These feedback are due 30 days after the doc is revealed.

That report is among the many actions meant to strengthen AI and civil rights that President Joe Biden included in his October 2023 government order on the expertise.
